Room 3 Sorting

In second grade this week, we're talking about different ways to sort items; our theme for the year is arranging information. Today, the students had to sort a variety of items on their tables ... the number of categories they came up with ranged from 4 to 9.

 Then we sorted ourselves by a variety of categories - long sleeves v. short sleeves; colors of shirts; types of shoes; hair color.

 Finally, each student got a card and had to find other kids in the class whose color and/or shape matched. I didn't get any photos of Room 2, but here are Room 3 students in action.
