Room 4 Celebrates Dr. Seuss

Leading up to Dr. Seuss' birthday last month, 1st graders read his books and did a ton of activities I downloaded from Seussville.

This month, we are reading the winners of this year's Geisel Award, named after Dr. Seuss and given by the American Library Association to "the most distinguished American book for beginning readers published in English." One past winner the kids are already well acquainted with is Mo Willems, author of the Pigeon and Elephant & Piggie books, who has won twice and gotten honors five times.
