Would You Rather?

I found a copy of John Burningham's "Would You Rather?" for $1 at the public library book sale, and thought "This would make a fun activity for K."

After the kids took their final quiz for the year, I read them options to choose from, and they went to different parts of the library to indicate what they picked.

Interestingly, both classes had the same preferences for the following (top picks are bolded):

Would you rather  ...

... an elephant drank your bathwater; an eagle stole your dinner, a pig tried on your clothes, or a hippo slept in your bed?
... be chased by a crab, a bull, a lion, or wolves?
... tickle a monkey, box with a cat, ride on a pig, or dance with a goat?

But they had different votes for these:

... eat spider stew, taste slug dumplings, chew mashed worms, or drink a snail shake?
... jump in thorns for $5, swallow a dead frog for $20, or stay all night in a creepy house for $50?
... be crushed by a snake, swallowed by a fish, eaten by a crocodile, or sat on by a rhinoceros?

Then the kids came up with their own questions.

... be a bullfrog or a butterfly?
... be a dog or a book?
... be a flag or a hat?
... be a number or a letter?
... be eaten by a shark or a dinosaur?
... eat ice cream or cake?
... eat a flower or swallow a bug?
... live in Antarctica or a very hot desert?
