Catalog Shopping with Room 6
I'm starting to put together my orders for next year, and I want to make sure that we're getting books the kids will actually want to read ... especially next year's 6th graders. There's always a big dropoff in checkout activity between 5th and 6th. To that end, I had them go through my stack of book catalogs and make purchase recommendations. Here they are shopping:

Thank You for the Game Night Donations!
Thank you so much to FEN for organizing Game Night last week! I had a lot of fun playing chess, Apples to Apples Jr., and hot potato (even though I didn't win on the last one).
Many families donated board games to the library's collection for checkout days and indoor recess, and FEN donated several that they received from Hasbro. Thanks to Rachel McNally for turning this idea into reality. Our new games are pictured below:

PreK Loves Pete the Cat!
Some days you just really need Pete the Cat to come in and remind you, "It's all good." We've been reading his books in preschool, including one about his four groovy buttons, and one about his white shoes.
